Why I’m So Glad Isabella Is Part of Welling Wellness

One of my favorite parts of growing Welling Wellness is getting to work alongside therapists who each bring something completely their own to the practice. Isabella is a great example of that.

What stands out to me most about Isabella is how genuinely warm and thoughtful she is. She has this natural ability to make people feel comfortable, and I think that is such an important quality in a therapist—especially when working with children, teens, and families.

There is a lot of intentionality behind the way Isabella works. She is thoughtful about meeting clients where they are rather than expecting them to fit into a certain idea of what therapy “should” look like.

And I love that about her.

Therapy doesn’t have to look one way

Isabella works with children, adolescents, teens, parents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, emotional and behavioral regulation, attachment, and other challenges. Her approach is strengths-based, person-centered, and collaborative, with training in trauma-focused and attachment-based approaches, as well as play and art therapy.

But what I appreciate most is that she brings creativity into that work.

For some clients, especially younger ones, sitting across from someone and talking about feelings for an hour isn’t necessarily the most natural way to connect. Isabella understands that therapy can involve creativity, play, movement, conversation, or simply finding a different way to communicate what is happening beneath the surface.

She meets clients where they are.

The kind of therapist I want families to have access to

Finding a therapist for your child or teen can be a really personal decision. You want someone who understands mental health, but you also want someone who can connect with your child as an individual.

Someone who can see beyond a diagnosis or behavior.

Someone who can help parents feel supported rather than judged.

Someone who can create a space where a young person feels safe enough to actually be themselves.

That is the kind of therapist I see Isabella being.

She brings warmth, creativity, and genuine curiosity into her work, and I think those qualities make such a difference in the therapy room.

Why I’m grateful she’s here

As a founder, I care a lot about who joins this practice. I don’t just want talented therapists. I want people who are kind, thoughtful, genuine, and who care deeply about the people they work with.

Isabella is that person.

I’m grateful to have her on the Welling Wellness practice and to be able to offer families another therapist who understands that therapy isn’t about changing who someone is. It’s about helping them feel understood, supported, and more equipped to navigate what they’re experiencing.

If you’re looking for therapy for your child, teen, or family in Baltimore, or virtual therapy throughout Maryland, Isabella is someone I’m really proud to have her at the practice.
