Meet Angie: Compassionate Therapy for Life Transitions, Relationships, and Personal Growth

If you’re looking for a therapist who brings warmth, authenticity, and genuine care into the therapy room, Angie offers a space where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. She believes therapy is built on connection and trust, creating an environment where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment.

Angie works with young adults and adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and personal growth. She also enjoys supporting couples as they strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and navigate the complexities of their relationships together.

At the heart of Angie’s approach is the belief that therapy should feel human. While clinical knowledge and evidence-based practices are important, meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship. Angie strives to create a space that feels comfortable, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and experiences.

Below is a closer look at Angie in her own words:

What can clients expect in a first session with you?

Bombarding you with intimidation and therapy jargon at our first session isn’t quite my style. Instead, I hope we can connect in a way that feels important and valuable to you. A positive therapeutic relationship is built on trust, and trust is something that is earned, just like in any other relationship.

What populations do you especially enjoy working with?

I really enjoy working with young adults and adults, especially those going through life transitions or relational issues. There’s something so special about working with individuals going through such uncertain and pivotal points in life. I also love working with couples because every dynamic is different, and it really highlights the importance of valuing not only yourself, but someone else as well.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Genuine, caring, and thoughtful.

What’s something people often misunderstand about therapy?

Many people believe therapy is a sign of weakness. In reality, it’s quite the opposite. Just as you might go to the gym to strengthen your body, therapy can strengthen your mind and emotional well-being. Therapy is a commitment to challenging yourself, growing, and investing in your own healing. There is tremendous strength in that.

Are you more of a book, TV, or movie person?

I definitely consider myself a movie enthusiast because It’s a Wonderful Life deserves to live on forever!

What’s something you bring to therapy that can’t be taught in a textbook?

Connection and care. Textbooks provide the foundation, but they can’t teach the unique human experience. We are all complex individuals who experience the world differently. Therapy should feel comfortable, personalized, and responsive to your specific needs. It’s never a one-size-fits-all process.

Coffee, tea, matcha, or something else entirely?

I am a coffee gal at my core!

What does self-care mean to you?

Self-care is anything that supports you, even if it doesn’t make sense to others. For me, it might look like settling in with a great movie, popcorn, and a fun soda. For someone else, it could be running five miles. Self-care is about discovering what genuinely helps you reset and recharge.

Angie’s Approach: Genuine, Thoughtful, and Relationship-Centered Care

Angie believes that therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely connected to their therapist. She approaches each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect for their unique story, recognizing that no two people experience life in exactly the same way.

Her work is especially focused on supporting young adults and adults through life transitions, relationship concerns, and periods of uncertainty. She also enjoys working with couples, helping partners strengthen communication, build deeper understanding, and navigate challenges together.

Angie brings a thoughtful and authentic presence to her work, emphasizing collaboration rather than telling clients what they should do. She believes therapy should be tailored to the individual, creating a space where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

If you’re looking for a therapist who values connection, authenticity, and personalized care, Angie would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey.
