If you’re looking for a therapist in Maryland, Hallie offers a warm, collaborative space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying. Her approach is grounded in connection, curiosity, and the belief that therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human relationship—not a hierarchy.

Hallie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who works from a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and LGBTQ+ affirming lens. She is especially attuned to how life experiences show up in the nervous system and how patterns of stress, survival, and protection can shape daily life.
At the core of her work is collaboration. Hallie does not approach therapy as having all the answers. Instead, she brings clinical knowledge and curiosity while honoring you as the expert of your own life. Together, you explore what feels stuck, what feels meaningful, and what feels possible—at a pace that feels safe and grounded.
Below is a closer look at Hallie in her own words:
What can clients expect in a first session with you?
Connection. My main goal in our first session will be to get to know you, not just what is hard in your life but who you are.
What’s something people often misunderstand about therapy?
That therapists have all the answers. I’ll bring my knowledge about mental health, but you are ultimately the one who knows what is best for your life. I won’t tell you what to do, but I will be right there alongside you as we figure it out together.
What helps you reset after a long day?
Getting outside! And getting some time away from my phone or computer.
Are you more of a book, TV, or movie person?
Books, specifically fantasy. I get a rush from learning a new world with its unique rules, history, magic, and characters and slowly uncovering the plot. It’s also incredible what fantasy can tell us about being human, about belonging, resilience, loss and love, and courage when up against unimaginable odds. It’s beautiful.
What’s your favorite season and why?
Spring and fall, the seasons of transition and change. I love the feeling of hope in the air as the flowers begin to bloom or the leaves begin to change.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Warm, introspective, authentic.
What’s something you bring to therapy that can’t be taught in a textbook?
A genuine fascination with people and the complexities of being human. People are like these highly intricate puzzles, and it is remarkably rewarding to help someone put together their own pieces in a way that gives their life meaning.
Coffee, tea, matcha, or something else entirely?
All of the above. A special drink is one of my greatest joys in life.
What’s something you’re currently enjoying or learning outside of work?
Birdwatching.
What does self-care mean to you?
Slowing down. We have all felt the pressure to do and be more, and for me, self-care is about allowing space to just be.
